COSTA FORTUNA at sea

In strong contrast with the small classic and beautiful ANDREA posted below, here are two photographs of the COSTA FORTUNA taken at sea in 2003 after she was commissioned by Carnival Corporation Mediterranean arm COSTA CROCIERI.
She was built at the famous Genova Sestri yard of Fincantieri as an Italian version of the 1996-built CARNIVAL DESTINY.
Costa was one of the traditional European shipping companies that lost independence after being taken over by Carnival. The 102.587 GT COSTA FORTUNA can accommodate 3.470 paying "guests" and the crew numbers 1.068. Her interiors were designed by Joe Farcus, mixing the famous Carnival Las Vegas at sea style with the Italian decorative arts seen by an Architect based in Miami.
